Day 20 of our Europe Trip

Tuesday 29th March

As you’ve probably guessed, we didn’t make it far, in fact the car never left the campsite and we ended up stayed another night, it was too lovely to not enjoy it! A great tip is that if your travelling out of season you can often get away with ringing on the day to check for campsite availability and so far all have had space for a small camper. The only thing I would say though is that when searching apps for campsites, they’re often marked as open when often they’re not. This did happen to us a couple of times, but it’s not usually an issue as there’s other open campsites nearby.

As the sun was shining, we decided to take a hike to the Miradoiro de Santa Trega (an observation area), this hill has on it the Castro and Chapel de Santa Trega, which was an old village inhabited by 5000 people in the 1st century BC. The views also stunning and you could see for miles in every direction, the climb was a little steep but the views at the top were really stunning. A good tip for this is that you can both walk or drive as it has good access all the way to the top.

Afterwards, we headed back to our TinTent for (even more) Spanish omelette and called it a day!
