Day 23 of our Europe Trip

Friday 1st April

We got up early and started the day with breakfast on the beach, then packed away and drove to Porto. Porto is a coastal city well known for its large bridges and port wine production. We didn’t sample the port but did enjoy lunch by the water. There were so many cafes and restaurants along the front serving a huge variety of food. We chose to have the cod, shrimp and tuna salad to share which was delicious from Restaurant Mercearia. We then strolled through the cobbled streets and admired the amazing architecture including Porto Catherdral before taking a circular route (which was accidental) back to pick up our car.

We then headed further down the coast, about one hour to Camping Costa Nova, which is right next to a stunning beach that goes on for miles with the most golden sands. We really enjoyed this site and after a busy day in the city, we enjoyed some rest in our TinTent watching movies, its really nice when travelling to have a base with all your things to come back to!
